Our approach

A calmer starting point for a complicated process

About the publication and how we build the guides.

The useful distinctionA clear explanation should help you ask better questions, not pretend to know your individual answer.

What Balentine Law is

Balentine Law is an independent information publication about family immigration and practical life transitions. It does not operate a law practice, provide individual representation or offer government services. The current publication does not represent the historical law practice formerly described on this domain.

We organize material around the situations readers encounter: moving with a spouse, planning for a parent, keeping children’s questions visible and understanding the records an agency requests. The aim is to make the next conversation more useful.

How the guides are written

The editorial team uses official agency material for procedural statements and links readers to the relevant sources. Team bylines identify editorial responsibility; they do not imply that an attorney authored or reviewed the page. We do not invent contributor credentials, client stories or case outcomes.

We distinguish legal requirements from practical suggestions. An inventory method, a reading path or a list of questions is a preparation aid, not a determination of eligibility. Some articles link to VisaTypes for further explanations of specific classifications; official agency instructions remain the reference for current rules.

Dates, changes and corrections

Each guide shows a review date. Immigration rules, operational procedures and source pages can change after that date. We avoid permanent fee or processing-time promises and direct readers to current sources for those details. No automatic legal monitoring is implied.

Where a source and an article differ, check the current official guidance and obtain appropriate advice before acting. We do not currently operate a staffed case-inquiry or corrections form. The contact directory identifies official channels for agency questions; it is not an invitation to send private records to this publication.
